Heaven Skate: Wahkeena Springs (Album) released March 11th

I have been waiting for Heaven Skate’s third album since I first heard some of the new tracks at Glizzy Fest last summer. This group loves experimenting with sounds and bending genres to make you think “huh, who knew punk and country could sound so good together?” This whole album is a rowdy good time and makes you wanna go grab a beer with the boys. Heaven Skate also truly embodies the DIY Spirit of Portland and if you ever get a chance please go to a show and check this album out!

Foamboy: lime, knife, time, hand (EP) released April 4th

Foamboy always feels like spring time in pdx. These insanely catchy synth and drum beats feel like the couple of days we get some beautiful sunshine and all you wanna do is dance and be happy, while the vocals bring this bittersweet overtone, that reminds me winter is still closer than summer. Everything about this EP is a certified bop and you can catch me dancing while making dinner every other night to it.

Lackadaisy: Don’t You Wanna Feel (Single) released March 28th

Newly formed Alt Rock inspired Lackadasiy released their debut single this past month along with a music video for it. This single is sooo fucking good! The song has some amazing shoegazey and droney vibes that just really hit right now. Vocals are absolutely outstanding with a sweet lil scream section at the end. quickly, quickly: Take It From Here (Single) released March 19th

After 4 years, quickly, quickly announced a new album with the single Take it From Here. This single is a beautiful ballad with amazing production. It feels singer/songwriter, but much of the lofi and intimate production remains from their previous work. quickly, quickly somehow always comes on my spotify when its raining and I am contemplating life, and I’m not mad about it.
